Looking to transition into social media marketing...do I have relevant experience?

Hi all,
I tried posting this inother subreddits and got limited responses, so thought I'd try here! I've been working about 8 months as a Social Media Copywriter/Editor for a fairly big makeup brand. I loved the company at first, but it's become very toxic and I'm now looking to leave. The problem is I'm not sure where to go next or where my skills can take me.
I love writing, but I'm not sure if being a copywriter is what I want to do forever. I really love strategizing and coming up with new ideas to help companies grow their brand, and lately I've wondered if I should get into Content/Brand Marketing, Social Media Management, etc. Are these career paths even plausible/relevant for someone with my background? I'm just looking for advice or any type of guidance here. I'm 25, located in Los Angeles and have the following work experience:
-8 months at this big makeup brand. I write all the social media captions for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (each channel has more than 2 million followers), in addition to blog posts, product descriptions, giveaway copy, sale email copy and much more. Very light strategizing about social media campaigns, giveaways, etc.
-2 years of PR agency experience - so skilled with press releases, media alerts, social media, etc. I left PR because I'm an introvert and hated the pitching process of spamming reporters day in and day out. That's what makes me think traditional marketing may not be for me either.
-Started off as a journalism major and have written for multiple school papers, as well as served as a music writer for a digital entertainment magazine for about 6 months
I'm enjoying my copywriter role...but I've always wanted to try marketing/social media or other fields as well. Basically I want to have more than just my writing skills to fall back on. I wonder... would it be possible for someone with my experience to transition into a Community Manager or Social Media role? How do I go about doing this?
