How Twitter, IG, Reddit etc even survived when there was FB?

FB has everything with other social media platforms have. Pics? you can upload there. Writing something without character limit? FB can. Discussions on particular topic on Reddit? Make a group on FB and discuss there.
How other platform grew when FB existed before them and had same features which now Reddit, TW etc has?
And yeah, on IG there are only pics/videos. A limitation. Character limit in Twitter. How the hell even with these limitations they were able to compete and survive and growing popular in front of FB?
