Order of IG stories in feed, not story views

Hey everyone
So I know that IG posts are sorted out according to the amount of interaction between you and the poster...but does this apply to stories IN FEED (im not talking about story views) as well?
I noticed today that the arrangement of stories arent chronological. Someone who posted something 9hrs ago was up first than someone who posted something 25mins ago. Perhaps its been this way for a while and i just noticed...
