Social media accounts registered by former domain owner....... what to do?

I have a small business, branded around my catchy custom url, which today I purchased the .com version of, that a person had been sitting on for years.

My issue is that, they already have social media accounts (each one dormant since 2013) registered to a custom email address linked to this domain that I now own. (TheirName@DomainINowOwn)

Does anyone know what the situation is if I reset the passwords on each (FB, Insta, Twitter) for my own use?

Is this frowned upon, an absolute no-no or have I completely lucked out?
