A social media strategy and complete set up within 12 hours?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
I need some advice on whether I've been set a reasonable task and if so, how best to approach it.
I do the social media for an agency and we have recently brought on a new client. They currently have no social media channels set up, are still in the process of rebranding and don't have a website ready.
I have been asked to create the social media strategy, content strategy, hashtag research, competitor research, create the set up for multiple channels and populate content on these channels ready for the launch. I've been given 12 hours to do this in with part of these hours also used for me to be briefed into who the client are and to liaise with the SEO and PPC team.
To me this sounds like a lot of work and I'm behind at the moment with where they wanted me to be. However because they still in the process of sorting out their rebrand and website, there's been more delays.
The design team have also created how each social profile will look like and what style of posts to use on platforms like Instagram. They have presented this to client but I was not involved in this process at all. From my understanding the strategy should of come first before doing anything to do with the design because we hadn't agreed which channels they'd be working across and now the client things what they've presented is what they're getting.
If anyone has any advice on how long this normally would take and how to best approach it, I'd be very grateful.
