Using VPN in TikTok to reach foreign audiences

Hi! Has anyone tried sharing content on TikTok using VPN? I've made an account recently because I want to share content to my target audience aka people in the US and Europe. I've tried using VPN and removing my SIM card but I've noticed that I end up getting scattered audiences from multiple countries (even if my VPN is set in an area in the US), and I've noticed it is very difficult for me to go past 500 views. Has anyone here had success on TikTok with a VPN?
