Is there a need for a new type of social network (or something else) that makes more sense in a pandemic?

I couldn't find any questions posted like this but I'm sure it's been asked before (please direct me to the relevant thread if you know). The pandemic is changing what's most important/appropriate for us so posting photos of our travels, updates from different locations, etc - it doesn't seem as common as it was. So will new situations drive a type of social behavior that demands something different to a network? Or not really required. Maybe something that could fill the void of all the informal chats we're missing at the office watercolor, at the shops, at school, just out and about. I'm not sure if it's just a new feature on existing platforms or something completely new, built from the ground up but I'm interested in other people's thoughts. What kind of online social setup would be useful in a pandemic?
