Facebook location pages: Will those who follow/liked the main page see content from the location page near them or do they have to like the location page too

...or vice versa. I've also read somewhere that even if the post from the main page is cascaded to the location pages, it doesn't automatically show up on the feed of those who follow only the location page. Does this mean, both main page and location page should. Be followed?
Currently help manage a few pages and we were considering Facebook Locations to help manage our several pages. Just trying to figure out Facebook locations since it is quite confusing.
