Issues removing old admins from FB page

Hey y'all,
I'm a part of a press/PR team for a minor league hockey team and we're having issues removing former members of our team from our Facebook page. Every time I try to revoke their admin rights, I get a message saying: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're looking into it."
I tried googling around but it seems that no one has yet figured out how to fix this and the Facebook team hasn't said anything about it on their forums. It's honestly annoying, I've been trying for like a week at this point and I'm at loss at this point. It seems like the only thing I can do is to set their roles to "analyst" and that's it.
Anyone know what to do in this situation?
