Weird question? How does Instagram know what I eat?

Like I said it’s a weird question. Because I’ve noticed a few weird ads on my Instagram lately. I started eating snickers bars almost everyday for the last 2 weeks; and recently I’m seeing ads about snickers on Instagram.
A few weeks back I was eating a particular brand of yogurt everyday and then a weeks later I started seeing ads about that yogurt brand on Instagram!!
I’ve never googled these products on the internet yet Instagram somehow knew what ads to show me? How is that even possible?
