Traditional blogs vs. micro blogging in 2020

A few years ago I would have said "a blog is a must for any B2C" but today I feel people don't (want to) read much anymore and the focus is now on short, easy to consume content in lots of industries.
For the fashion industry specifically, would you say "blogging is dead" and companies as well as fashion Influencers should focus on other outlets such as Instagram or do you still have good experiences with traditional blogs ?
