Day 1 TikTok Trends.

Greetings,
I am trying to break into the TikTok space, as I'm sure many of you are trying to do as well. It's truly the wild west of social media. I am doing my best to follow trends and make original content, and I feel I'm making little headway.
I come to this board today to discuss the Discover Trends. I noticed that the trends I'm seeing on my TikTok are on average 7 days old. Kind of defeats the purpose of making a video that was trending a week ago when new trends emerge daily.
My question is, how are people jumping onboard with Trends on day 1? The discover page only shows trends that have already peaked and are dying down. Yet when I look at these trends, there are thousands of people posting the same day ( usually 7 days before it hits the discover page).
Do any of you have insights on this? I just discovered a trend that I could have really excelled in, but it's six days old. I might stay make a video, but there's no denying it would have been more successful if I posted it when the trend was hot.
