Tik Tok is so frustrating!

I'm sure this isn't the first post about this but what is up with Tik Tok's algorithm?? I'm not expecting to go viral and mainly make vids out of boredom but for the love of God how is it possible for a video to be up for over an hour and not have any views whatsoever. Then I noticed that the videos that do get viewed always cap out in the high 30's. Almost like they're only showing 30 something people. Has anybody figured out the algorithm yet? I read somewhere that posting videos back to back guarantees you having higher numbers but I have a life.
