What to do after failed Twitter contest?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
I'm not sure if it's actually a contest, but not sure what else to call it - I did a tweet that said "If this gets 500 retweets I will release the stems from my latest EP", with photo attached, on an account with ~1700 followers. We failed to reach the goal number (which I realize now was too high - I should've studied numbers before posting the tweet). We're sitting around 170 RTs / 150 likes. So, what now? I don't think we are going to reach our original goal, so what do we follow up with?
Here are some ideas I had:
- "Okay so since you all failed, I'll give you another chance" - and do another goal that is more achievable (maybe 200-300 likes)
- Delete the original tweet and do a new one with a lower goal
- Delete the original tweet and do a new one with more engaging content (aesthetic video edit rather than just photo)
- Wait a couple weeks and try again with a lower goal / more engaging content
- actually don't release the stems lol
- actually don't release the stems, and say "I guess you all will have to wait until [certain date]!"
- say "Okay since y'all RTed 1/3 of the goal I'm going to release 1/3 of the stems" (then release the rest later with different prompt)
- say "oh no!! the stems somehow escaped my computer!" and release them
Thank you in advance for any input/advice!
