Hi All,
Not sure if this is the correct place to be asking this question, if not and someone could point me in the right direction, I would be grateful.
I am a social media director and when creating videos I have been using my iphone and a lavalier mic for my boss. This is no longer cutting it and we are in need of an upgrade. Video/audio equipment is not something I am super knowledgeable on and I have been trying to do research but it becomes more confusing.
My question is what kind of video recorder and mic do I need to make videos of my boss on stage while he gives speeches or accepts awards. Currently our mic cuts out when I am too far away so we need something that covers distance, I would like to be able to pick up on what he is saying but one that will also pick up on the audio of the room, not one that cuts everything but him out. Preferably low/medium budget wise, nothing too complicated to learn either please. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you.
