Should I make my instagram private?

Just wondering on some opinions, have a niche page with 70k+ followers and just can't seem to get much reach from explore+hashtags, still get crazy good engagement and shares but I'm losing followers over time because very few new people are seeing the page.
Wondering if going private for a while will help build up some additional followers?
