What to consider from sponsorships and commissions?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

We are beginning to receive more interest and come across various opportunities for sponsorships (influencers/celebrities) in our wellness niche (supplements).

I’m aware of some basic sales attributions techniques like unique affiliate link, coupon code, or going as far as a special edition product (ie“John Cena’s PreWorkout”) to credit the sale and payout a commission. I understand each situation is different but would like to hear some additional tools and techniques I can consider.

Additionally, what is the “right” payout percentage or fee? What is your sponsorship philosophy and what other factors do I need to account for?

For instance, if you have a margin of 25% (example only), would you forgo that profit to give to the influencer a 25% commission and essentially its “free advertising” as we are breaking even and also not spending on advertising?

Or if they prefer a flat one time fee up front, how do you calculate that number to even start the conversation?

Finally, what about the middlemen fee/payout? If a person hooks us up with a celebrity, and doesn’t have much of an active role thereafter, what is a fair fee?
