Tips to Grow Your Instagram Following

Hello! I work for a site that is trying to grow our social following on Instagram. We are currently at 17K but our page growth is very slow in regards to number of followers. I have successfully gotten much higher engagement (likes/comments) on our posts and added over 1000 new followers but it has taken over 6 months to get to that point. We don't do much paid promotion at the moment but could be open if organic growth doesn't seem very promising. Any posting tips or strategies that worked for you would be appreciated for organic and paid options! (Also, we don't sell a product, just provide a valuable service in the consumer/shopping space) Thanks in advance for your input!
