Personal branding as a student in 2019?

What's up Reddit? This is my first post, get me hooked!
To the point:
I am a business major from a small village i Sweden. I have some experience (work and side projects) of just getting shit done. My problem? I don't have a good professional network. Ofc some connections from work and a semester abroad during my studies, but slim to none from back home and old connections.
I'm in my second to last year of studies and would like to get my social media presence up. I just feel like I don't have anything to post. I'm a student with grit. No company. No money. No cool connections to lean back on. What I have is an underdog mentality and a will to "prove myself" (professionally. I couldn't care less about how cool or dorky the next man think I am when looking at me. I care about performance in the long run).
I think I mainly need to start posting on Instagram and Twitter (LinkedIn and the dying Facebook can come later). Any idea about how I could go about this? It's my belief that organic growth from creating value is the best way. But how? I would prefer not to post photos of my healthy food and "inspirational" quotes with a marble background.
Hit me with your best shots and please ask me to clarify if it's needed somewhere.
