Can I run an A/B test in a reach objective campaign on Facebook?

I’d be buying against a reach objective through a reach/frequency buy, but would have multiple creatives in an ad set.
Will they all perform the same or can there be a “winner” even though the campaign is just optimizing to the largest reach possible?
If so, how does that work?
