Thoughts around limited vs robust social parter selection?

Questioning whether or not to dial back platforms running paid media on since the target audience is pretty much 18+ there’s a large use penetration among the target between all platforms. Do you max out efforts in one platform before adding another? Or leverage multiple platforms with different communication on each for cross-platform frequency?
How do you approach this with your own clients knowing you can’t measure effects between different platforms?
