How to compete with agencies charging $400/month and less for social media management?

There’s a lot of them on Google. I know of another company who specializes in Ecommerce and they charge by the week, around $129-189.. just wondering how in the world they manage these prices while doing the same thing as me (data analysis, thorough audience research, strategic planning, approaching from a customer attraction standpoint Rather than full on push marketing etc)? I just took on my first niche client and I can’t make the numbers work. It’s fine because they’ll give me some great results I can justify higher prices with.. but how do they do it??
One thing I am doing is adding DMs into the mix, so like sending customer appreciation messages, interacting with giveaway participants etc so that obviously adds a bit of time. I just want to find a happy place with numbers so I can feel good about growing my business!
