How can I identify different segments within a niche?

I’m doing research for to market on social media, I learned that to be perceived by people I must reflect the same values, belief, system, identity, to get into they’re mind and put what is there in my brand.
I started to practice this to make it happen but I see so many different types of people within a niche, I wrote 5 niches that I have to search to see in which one my product fits and I can build rapport in, but i spent like 3 hours on only 1 of them, is a bit confusing.
Can someone help me be more clear on how to do it more efficiently and effectively? Or what do you do when you’re searching for this type of information about your target client?
