Managing Applications to Facebook Jobs Posts
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
I manage Social Media for my company (we are a B2B computer hardware manufacturer). Our HR team has recently started posting our open positions on Facebook using Facebook Jobs Posts, which I think is great. That said, we already have a set process for accepting applications and are trying to figure out the most efficient way to process applications that come directly through Facebook Jobs.
We would like all applications to come through our website's application portal for consistency, completeness and ease of management, but there doesn't appear to be a "turn off applications" option for Facebook Jobs Posts. Job posts also don't appear to allow you to add clickable links within a post. We can put a URL to our application portal in the job posting, but it's not clickable so people are bound to use the big blue "Apply Now" button at the top of the job listing instead, which then just sends us a message in Facebook to say we have an application in our company Facebook page inbox.
There also doesn't appear to be a way to set an auto-response to job applications to redirect to our online portal. I can set an auto-reply to ALL incoming messages, but we get plenty of non-application messages through Facebook as well.
At the moment I'm letting HR know that they have an application in Facebook and replying to the applicant to invite them to apply on our website, but this isn't a particularly efficient or sustainable way to do it when we might have 20 open positions at any given time.
Any suggestions or tips on Facebook Jobs posts welcome.
