FB won't stop automatically defaulting to old image in post preview

Hi, everyone.
I coordinate my company's social pages. I'm trying to post a link to an old blog I wrote, and in the Link Preview, Facebook defaults to the blog's old cover image.
I've logged into our website (WordPress) and changed the cover image, deleted the old image from our website, and cleared cookies on the browser and my computer.
The old image still pops up. I try to upload the new image to the link preview, but Facebook won't let me delete the old image so I just have the new one.
I know I can just upload the new image and include the link in the text portion of the post, but I want to have the link preview.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
