Facebook Pages Dead?

It's not even funny how low my engagement on a facebook page post has dropped in the past month. I used to get 50-100 likes and at least 20 comments (not a huge page, but still) and with no boosting whatsoever.
Recently I get maybe 5-10 likes and 1-2 comments and I have to spend at least $1 to even get that. I've seen other people on here with a similar issue, I'm wondering what steps you've taken to adjust to the changes that Facebook has been implementing- particularly on pages. Thanks in advance.
