Building a Facebook page from absolute scratch?

Hi guys,
I'm new to my company (well 3 months in) and I have just taken over the socials. As some partners went their separate ways I have a brand new Facebook page with a grand total of 3 likes. Trying to build it organically for now and asking family & friends isn't really an option as we are an advertising agency and will be mostly sharing industry articles etc.
Any tips on where to go from here would be massively appreciated. It's not that we want to use it to gain new business - but obviously as we are managing other peoples socials it just looks better if we have some sort of presence.
