Abandon Facebook brand page and focus more on personal profile?
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J
I have a Facebook page that I use to promote my side project that I've been working on. The content is mostly videos that I create as part of a web series (I share tech tips for entrepreneurs and creators.).
It’s been a bit of a struggle to get traction with the page over the past year (<200 Likes at this point), and I never really see a huge amount of engagement on posts (unless I share them over on my personal profile...which then drives a bit of traffic over the brand page).
Considering all that, and also with the new algorithm changes that decrease the organic reach of brand pages, I’m wondering if I should just abandon my efforts to maintain a brand page, and instead just incorporate that content on my personal profile? The extent of the brand content would just be video clips or screen caps of my videos (with links directing people to youtube). Maybe once or twice a week, mixed in with my personal statuses.
Is this something that I should consider doing? And if so, when posting brand related content on a personal profile, are there things that I should avoid doing so that the posts don’t seem spammy and get downgraded in rank/reach (e.g. note including outside links in posts, etc. ) ?
