Video algorithms - why do some lesser quality posts earn far more views than other, more professional edits?

On a popular motorsports channel we've found that posting mobile-phone shot action clips do far better than professionally produced edits. Is there an obvious reason for this? Video length? Making the user feel more connected to the riders? The edits do have outro graphics that include logo and text.
We've seen time and time again, the rough, raw clips outperform the edits by up to 600%. Any insights?
