Email from instagram...huh?

So during my time on the internet Ive seen alot of shadey and weird stuff...today an interesting email found its way into my inbox. Its from [security@mail.instagram.com](mailto:security@mail.instagram.com) and I think oh probably another laptop in bangladesh trying to log into my account. Apparently not. instead it says Hi "NAME THAT ISNT MINE" it appears you're having trouble logging into your instagram account. We can help you get your account back. and then a big blue button obviously with some sort of an imbued link and then the reset your password and don't send me more emails text, also with imbued links.
Second weird thing. Im a Swedish national who's lived all my life in Sweden but this email is in either norwegian or danish (can't tell sorry).
After looking up this account on instagram I see its some sort of pewdiepie fake account with 4 posts, last one was made in 2014
Now I obviously suspect this is some sort of scam and have taken all the precautions for my own account and email and am not gonna be clicking any imbued links just interested if others have had similar situations since this particular one was new to me. Is it that this other account is hacked and then added about 500 million email adresses to the account to then send out account recovery emails to?
