Instagram Follow/Unfollow Method - Can you get banned?

Hello fellow marketers! I run a news based Instagram account hat experiences high engagement but a low organic follower conversion rate. I've been using the follow/unfollow method to grow, and it's helping me net roughly 30-40 new followers a day but I often find myself getting follow/unfollow blocked. Is this dangerous? Can I get banned for doing this too frequently? I often follow around 200 people over the course of the day (that like posts from other accounts in my niche) and then unfollow them at night.
