How do people dig up old accounts of celebrities?

Sometimes people can dig up accounts from internet archives or accounts that don't have a clear connection (full name, etc.) to a celebrity but still prove it belongs to them. An example would be Camila Cabello's old Tumblr account
I'm in the process of learning more about digital footprints and truly deleting content from the internet.
TLDR; Ways to track down all previous accounts? How to truly delete things?
