Are Androids bad for recording video?

I'm trying to use tiktok for my business and I'm finding there's pretty noticeable lag and frame rate issues when I record video. I have an S20 and I've tried both while connected to wifi and using data. Nothing works, the video quality is terrible compared to what a video should look like.
I've heard this is possible an android issue because a lot of these video apps were made for iPhone.
Is there anything than can be done to fix this?
