For Instagram photos, how does Instagram value likes, comments and shares?

Can't find where I saw it, but I remember seeing somewhere that Instagram have a scoring system for how they determine which posts they put out and it was something along the lines of:

Like = 1 point

Comment = 3 points

Share = 8
