Why was my snap maps saying the wrong location at 2am?

So I received like 20 calls from my girlfriend at 2:30am asking where I was because on snapchat maps it said I was in a place not too far from where I live. It may have even been over the 2mile radius. Anyone know what could have happened ?
No one logged in on my account as I was logged in. Ideas?
