Engagement Scores - killing me softly

Hi folks,
I’m trying to create goals for work (am the sole social strategist for my small company) and showing metrics/numbers is the way to go. Right off the bat, things are being organized differently this year so I’ve been asked to stay away from ads - let’s just get that out of the way.
Anyways - what metrics do you folks recommend sharing? Not going for a detailed report; just something that I can show in Q1 and then again in Q3. I’ve been looking at Engagement Score (by impressions), but am wondering if anyone has a source for benchmarks?
Also, if anyone has suggestions that move away from showing of an engagement score, I welcome those!
