Can someone be obsessed over reddit karma like social media likes and stuff?

I came here to recover from social media and yet I have to admit, never felt so great in my life hehe, until a friend of mine made me notice the fact that there was this karma thing and then I got afraid I might be like that again, I don't know what to do anymore.

I know this post might not belong here but I have no idea where else to post something like that.
