Instagram Search Messed Up - Help

Hello,
I am having a problem with the search function on Instagram... On a regular Instagram page, the search bar allows people to sort their search by "Top", People, Tags, and Place, however, on my account, I only get the search window which populates a dropdown box of random topics related to my search.
My question is: How do I fix this issue so the normal search bar with the categories shows up again? Could I have accidentally messed with a setting to botch this up (how do I reset it back to normal?)?
Does this make sense? I've searched everywhere and can't find a solution. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas, suggestions or solutions are appreciated.
