Are explicit CTAs on Facebook bad practice?

I'm having a small argument in my team about whether explicit CTAs, when done with the right content, is bad practice. So for example posts with a few lines of copy that then ends:
- share this with someone who needs to know [topic]
- tag a friend who's like this Etc.
Is there anything wrong with doing this? Is there any articles I can reference to confirm / refute whether this is a good idea?
