Tips for staying hyper-vigilant on what could be seen as offensive

I run my local college's social media.

Being naive and not being the same age as h my demographic unfortunately, sometimes I don't really stay hyper-vigilant when thinking "could this be offensive?" How is this generation thinking?

I posted a caption with a photo that may have been taken the wrong way... thankfully I caught myself before it caused a social media crisis, but I honestly feel like such an asshole and a failure...

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on keeping that mindset around all the time?

And any tips on being okay with making mistakes would be appreciated.
