Social Media "Account" vs Social Media "Business Page" (FB / Linkedin)

Hello,
I launched a startup last year which has kind of blown up. So we decided on hiring a marketing team, which is now a 4-person team. One of the team members just used his personal Linkedin account to create a campaign and signup more than 1,000 people in just one day. This caught me by surprise, and we shutdown the campaign because we don't have the infrastructure to onboard 1k-ppl/day. And also, this type of "rogue" behavior got me a little worried.
So FB abd Linkedin, do not allow "Business Accounts". They require you to create a "Personal Account" to which you then link a "Business Page" to. However, there is a workaround to this. You first create a personal account, then go back and change the name/email to your corporate information.
Now, here are my two questions:
- Is there a problem, from a marketing perspective, with having a business account connecting with customers instead of a human being? I was thinking I could just convert my personal FB/Linkedin account to the company's and give everyone else the user/password to this account, and from there everyone can just run their respective campaigns without relying too heavily on one person. This would allow, all of the contacts, connections and intellectual property to be on one account, safe and secure.
- The business page you create through Linkedin, does not allow you to send messages to customers. You need to do that through the personal account. This is causing problems because of what was mentioned above. What is the work around to this?
In conclusion, as the Founder I cannot be so granular in my involvement with the social media campaigns, but at the same time I want the work to be safe, and for us not to lose everything we have created in the past year due to someone leaving the team.
I hope all of this made sense. I never got into social media personally; I like my privacy. :)
