Does anyone ever got his Facebook page verified? (Blue Badge)

I manage (with an intern team) the Facebook Page of a political candidate. I tried to applied for the blue badge many times, but i didnt succeed.
I believe i do something wrong. Does anyone ever got his Facebook verified? If yes can you explain to me the proccess?
Any guide i find online, seems to not work, as i already provided Facebook with ID, photo etc..
