Which are the biggest internet forums in each country (not Reddit)?

A few years ago, each country, often each province would have it's own internet forum where people would discuss all types of topics. Over time, many of these have faded away as many people have migrated either to Reddit or facebook. However, they're not all gone. Some countries still have their own nation wide giant internet forums that unique to them. Sweden for example has flashback .org
So I'm wondering, does Germany, Denmark, the UK, France, South Africa, Japan... still have their own giant nation wide forums to call their own? If so, what are the biggest internet forums per each country?
