HOW is snapchat still taking up my data?!

my app size was almost 400 MBs with data at almost 200 i uninstall it goes down to 200 app size upon reinstall
afte almost 30 MINUTES it goes to 115MBs of data used! its not in the cache and im not viewing any snaps.
just texting my friend with words.
can anybody help me lower it???
