“Can somebody assist me?” - Facebook Business Manager

I run a Facebook Business page and I’ve noticed a reoccurring pattern with Direct Messages. Someone (with a seemingly legit profile) will message saying “Can somebody assist me?” I will reply and never hear back from them. I have noticed that the formatting and wording of the messages is always the same. Is this some sort of spam or just a weird coincidence? Has anyone else encountered this?
