Instagram Verification wait time?

Hey everyone! Question for all of you regarding verification requests on instagram. It's been 9 days now, and as far as I know I have not received a "yes" or "no" notification from instagram regarding the status of my application.
Has any one else also been waiting this long to hear back? Do you think my application may not have gone through? Interested to hear your thoughts/experiences.
