Is a different Facebook pixel required for a different site?

Dunno if this has been asked before, but is it really important to have different pixels for different sites.
In Facebook Help articles, their Help team says that we have to create a different ad account via Business Manager. And in the same thread itself, another Help team member says that it is okay if we put the same pixel in multiple websites.

What are the difficulties in using the same pixel for multiple websites? Does it create problems with retargeting later on?
Can anyone give inputs on this?
