Looking for free tools to monitor social media hashtags

Hi there. Our company is running a contest this summer, and we're working through the details of that. Obviously social will be a huge component. We currently use Hubspot as a CRM, but unfortunately, you can only monitor tweets on their platform.
Really what we need is a free tool that would help monitor a specific hashtag on multiple social platforms. Is there anything out there that could help with this, or perhaps a free version of a paid tool? We don't have budget for this at the moment so just looking for something to perhaps show the value for a paid tool in the future.
