hashtag blues: most of my instagram posts don’t show up in search, and I use small hashtags modestly

So I have a new account (only ~2 weeks old) and I am having a problem with hashtags. I know this isn’t a new issue and I read and followed some tips on preventing shadowbans, but for some reason only a few of my tags are showing up in search.
heres whats up:
-I am in the organic beauty niche and I post about natural skincare products, holistic skincare tips and pretty organic beauty picturea I made
-I create all-new content (often just for the instagram). The photos are good quality (they take a lot of time to edit, too) and the content is useful (original skincare expertise from someone who has a lot of experience with it).
-I dont use hashtags that have over 20k posts, and I often use hashtags that list ingredients or directly describe the products (i.e. #organicgreentea, #naturalfacecream, #greenbeautyproduct) -- WHO exactly is abusing a hashtag like #organicchamomile?! They make me feel like an herbalist hooligan for no reason
-My posts have never gone up to the 30 allotted hashtags, I usually use 5-9 tags, I test them beforehand, and I occasionally post things with no tags at all. I have tried both including tags in only the post, and only including hashtags in the comments.
-My follower base was grown completely organically, I only have a little over 20 followers, I follow 15 people, and I have NEVER follow/unfollowed (which is trashy)
-I interact with instagram like a normal person. (i.e. I like posts occasionally, I have commented once or twice if it was relevant, and I respond to the few people that kindly comment on my posts. I only follow people in my niche currently, so it’s not like I’m adding every account I come across to promote my brand
-My activity is normal. I post maybe once a day, sometimes twice, and I dont follow more than 2-3 people a day.
-I type in all of my captions and the hashtags one by one. copy/pasting would be easier and prevent typos in the small typing field, but I do it anyway
My issue is, that my posts never show up on tags larger than 1,000 , and often on small tags either. it seems like if I even put a larger hashtag in my post, none of the others work. And I cant figure out how exactly they show up in slightly irrelevant hashtags, but not in the direct descriptors that reflect the message and the image its self. The caption I posted along with the second photo I posted has disappeared altogether somehow (?) Like, I would post an image of green tea. it is green. it is in a cup. it is tea, you can clearly tell. I write about green tea. I post hashtags like "green tea" "matcha" ... and yet instagram doesn't show it?
So someone please tell me, what can I possibly be doing that is making instagram do this to my account? Regardless of whether my photos are to your taste (they are nice though), what is the point of spending like 20 minutes per photo and posting original content if it never shows up? And dow does instagram expect me to expand my follower base if my hashtags don’t show up in search?
meanwhile, some hastags have like 5 of the same images that are blatant and quickly put together ads that show up in search one after another, so how are those accounts showing up while my stuff doesnt???
tl;dr: I post nice pictures and relevant content. I act like a normal person on instagram, yet my posts dont show up in most hashtags. How do I grow this account organically and compete with bots that don't ad still show up?
