Facebook update and Content Management Systems (Sprout etc) - how are people dealing?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Hi all!
We've been using Sprout on my team for a year and have been absolutely in love with the platform - however with Facebook's new roll outs it basically deems the platform completely meaningless. We can no longer like anything from it or respond/engage in any way via Instagram - it does allow us to see posts discovered near/at our location however ALL users are identified as coming from @anonymous so it's useless. We can still, for now, respond to DMs on facebook and comments.
How are other people dealing with this? Trying to understand if there's even a benefit to keeping ourselves on Sprout or if any CMS is better equipped?
My sneaking suspicion as a way to deal with this 'data' issue is facebook will roll out their own CMS at some point... so it's all 'secure' and contained within their company, and also ends up a giant cash cow for them.
Let me know thoughts!!
